Tortoise’s almost entirely instrumental music defies easy categorization. The group gained significant attention from their early career. The members have roots in Chicago’s fertile music scene, playing in various indie rock and punk groups. Tortoise was among the first American indie rock bands to incorporate styles closer to krautrock, dub, minimalism, electronica and various jazz styles, rather than the standard rock and roll and punk that had dominated indie rock for years. Programa número quince: de los rocks sicodélicos al breakbeat/IDM/dubstep. El recorrido visita a pandilla bien elevada en el arte de los sonidos alucinantes con intermedios para descansar del viaje y lleva por misteriosas rutas que derivan en sonidos electrónicos con ritmos complejos, remezclas y ambientes enrarecidos. (Tristemente hubo algunos líos con la red y se perdieron los fragmentos inicial y final de la transmisión pero agrego las pistas en el archivo complementario)
